Primary Teacher (Female) Full Time

As a Primary Teacher at Red Maple Montessori , you will be responsible for creating a positive and engaging learning environment for students in the primary grades. Your role includes delivering age-appropriate instruction, assessing student progress, and fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

• Instructional Planning and Delivery:
• Develop and implement lesson plans that meet curriculum guidelines and address the diverse needs of students.
• Deliver instruction using a variety of teaching methods and resources to engage students and enhance their understanding.
• Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
• Classroom Management:
• Maintain a positive, orderly, and safe classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Implement and enforce classroom rules and policies to ensure a respectful and productive atmosphere.
• Address and manage student behavior in a constructive and fair manner.
• Assessment and Evaluation:
• Monitor and assess student progress through regular testing, observations, and assignments.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents regarding academic performance and development.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records of student assessments and progress.
• Student Support:
• Identify and address individual student needs, including providing additional support or referrals to specialized services as needed.
• Foster positive relationships with students to build trust and encourage a love for learning.
• Collaborate with parents, guardians, and other educators to support student growth and development.
• Professional Development:
• Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational trends and practices.
• Contribute to the development of curriculum and instructional strategies in collaboration with colleagues.
• Administrative Duties:
• Prepare and submit reports, lesson plans, and other documentation as required.
• Attend staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other school-related events.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field; Teaching certification required.
• Experience: Previous experience teaching at the primary level is preferred.
